Research Conference
Intra- and Inter-generational transmission of inequality
February 28th and 29th, 2008

Guidelines for presentations:

We would like the Report to concentrate on relevant issues on the transmission of inequality and on policy implications from the research. We have already commissioned some papers on this regard and expect to commission many others from those to be presented at the Research Conference.

As you may see in the Conference program, we have decided to invite around 25 researchers for this conference. To keep it manageable time wise, we will ask you to present the core of your paper in about 20 minutes. Since all participants do research on this topic, we think we can skip in the presentation (or reduce it to the minimum) several parts of the paper (e.g., motivation, extensive literature review, technical details that are not new). It would be good if the presentations focus on what is new in the paper and how its results derive into policy implications.

Please, do not hesitate in contacting us for any further question on this or on other issues related to the Research Conference or the Report.
